Voice UK fans launch petition for ITV to bring back Sir Tom Jones"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sir Tom Jones has received a huge show of support from fans after more than 48,000 people signed a petition calling for him to return as a full-time coach on <em>The Voice UK<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The 86-year-old music legend has been part of the ITV singing competition on and off since it launched in 2012, becoming one of the show\u2019s most recognisable faces.<\/p>\n<p>However, Sir Tom will not return as a full-time coach for the 2027 series following a major shake-up to the red-chair line-up.<\/p>\n<p>After reports emerged that his place on the programme was under threat, Sir Tom said he was \u201cnot thrilled\u201d by what ITV had offered him instead and claimed the broadcaster had made the decision to \u201cfire\u201d him.<\/p>\n<p>ITV later stressed that discussions about his possible involvement in the next series were continuing.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson said: \u201cWe have loved working with Sir Tom Jones over the past nine years on The Voice UK.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They added: \u201cWhile he will no longer be a full-time coach on series 15, we continue to talk to Sir Tom and his team about his involvement in the next series.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sir Tom Jones has received a huge show of support from fans after more than 48,000 people signed a petition calling for him to return as a full-time coach on The Voice UK.
